ANNAPOLIS IS ABOUT TO Â Â COME ALIVE WITH MUSIC |
Hi --  Something VERY special is happening next week. It is the 2nd Annual Annapolis Songwriters Festival; and quite literally, the town will be alive with music.  For four days (September 14-17) we will see 125 local, national, and international songwriters and artists converge on Annapolis to play more than 140 shows in
15 venues! And the kicker? Most are completely free! Â
From Maryland Hall to City Dock and even
on the Severn River onboard Watermark's Harbor Queen--music will fill the air. Be sure to check out several NEW venues as well-- the newly re-opened King of France Tavern, West Street and Dinner Under The Stars, Red Red Wine Bar, and The Capital Hotel! Â We recorded a podcast with Rams Head Presents about the festival and the VIP All Access Passes were in short supply, but individual tickets remain for most of the ten ticketed shows. Â Have a listen! (opens in a new window with audio player) Â
This is a fantastic and unique experience for music lovers all over Maryland and beyond! Â Check out the schedule and plan your days because your toes will be tapping for four amazing days starting on September 14th! And for the smartphone crowd--don't forget to download the Annapolis Songwriters Festival app to help you along the way! (iOS - Android) Â Â I hope to see you downtown in Annapolis next week!
PS: People have been asking who I am looking forward to seeing--well of course Blondie because they were one of my first concerts and I
probably wore out three copies of Parallel Lines. But others-- Chattahoochies, Amanda Shires, Marty Stuart, and LeAnn Rimes are on my list. Â As to locals--Ray Weaver (honorary local), Daphne Eckman, Chris Nurthen (honorary local), Skribe, Rik Ferrell, and a whole lot more. Â Might need to invest in some rollerblades! |
