Arts Alive 25 A Night to Imagine! |
Hi Once again, I am thrilled to be a sponsor for Maryland Hall's Arts Alive 25 celebration on September 8th. Why? That is easy--Maryland Hall is the hub for the arts in the area and art knows no bounds. You can anything to appreciate the arts...Black, white, male, female, young, old, wealthy, poor, or anything in between. And why would I not want to be a supporter? Arts Alive is the annual fundraiser (and party) for the Hall that we call home. Twenty five years ago, it was a small gathering on the front lawn scraping some money to buy some new windows. And look how the Hall has grown--a media hub, concerts, classes, camps, cafes, film festivals, and of course the resident
companies--ballet, opera, chorale, and symphony! Yes, it's a fundraiser, but it is also a guaranteed good time. You will get a sample of all the arts in the Hall as well as some great food and drink from local restaurants and caterers. There is a silent auction as well as a raffle with a collection of bucket list trips! And a fantastic band to keep you on your feet all night long! But when you are there, please look for our table, stop and say hello as we all celebrate the how the arts have made us alive!
I'll see you there on September
8th!
PS: I have fielded many questions on the dress code. In years past, it has been a range from very casual to one step away from very formal.
Art welcomes all, so wear what makes you comfortable. But for those looking for something official, here's what maryland Hall had to say... "Dress code is artsy practical? hahaha We are inclusive and will accept everyone, no matter what they wear. Definitely not black ties/long dresses - it can get hot in there specially when dancing!" So there you have it! PPS: If you haven't already, here's a sign up link for our
new daily, local news, email newsletter!
* About that auction. They are loading up the items to browse right now, and on September 1st, it will be open for bidding from home! |
