    July 2010 Newsletter

Greetings !

Well, this weekend will see the streets fill with firetrucks, floats, and politicians. And the skies will fill with brilliant bursts of light as we celebrate Independence Day once again! If you are in Annapolis, their celebrations are always a great time. And we have heard that this year, Six Flags America will be hosting a pretty spectacular show as well. Wherever you celebrate, please celebrate safely. If you are boating or driving, please so so responsibly and don't drink. There are too many people who love their kids!

Well, here you are. The lucky recipient of our true first monthly newsletter! Over the past six months, we have been trying to figure out what people wanted and the consensus was private content (we are working on that), exclusive consumer offers (check out the top box on the right) and just a periodic hello (here it is)!

As we continue to grow, we will be adding benefits, so if we are missing something, please let us know.

I wanted to touch base on privacy. In order to communicate with you, we need an email address--that is all that is required. We suggest you put in your name and city for two reasons. First, it allows us to customize the newsletter a little bit "Dear John" as opposed to "Dear Subscriber"; and second,  it gives us an idea where our readers are located. If the majority of our readers are in Lothian, we want to bring news and information that is valuable to them.

We will never sell, rent, loan, or give your information away without your specific permission. When you see a special offer here or an advertisement on the site, we are not providing the advertiser anything but a channel for you to reach them. If you are interested in Widgets, we will tell you how to get there and learn about them. We will not give Widgets R Us your information!

There is a lot of ground to cover in the County and we are still very small and lean in terms of staff. So, if you can help us out in any way (no, I am not begging for donations like another site--but hey a clicking on a google ad every now and then would not hurt) please do. If you see something happening in your neighborhood, hear of a great community event, have an opinion on something in the news, snapped a funny or serious photo...you get the idea. Please send your information to us and we will publish it--with attribution or without, it's your call.

Well, enough from me. Check out our special offers and have a wonderful Fourth of July!

We're glad you are here!

All the best,

John W. Frenaye, Jr
