The Silopanna Music Festival is almost here and if you are a music lover, this is one for the books! Headlining will be Cake, Citizen Cope, and G.Love & Special Sauce!
In addition, you will be treated to Robert Randolph and the Family Band, J. Roddy Walston and the Business, and a just discovered favorite of mine, Audra Mae!
The festival will also feature many of your local favorites including Sweet Leda, Pasadana, Jimmie's Chicken Shack, swampcandy, Tobias Russell and many more.
Gates open at 11am and the music doesn't stop for another 12 hours! And kids under 6 are free!
They say that in New York City, you can get any type of food at anytime of the day or night! Same with Silopanna as they roll in a culinary cornucopia of food trucks. Cajun, Mexican, Italian, ice cream, grilled cheese, vegetarian, asian, crab & lobster rolls--you name it and you can get it at Silopanna and wash it down with some Budweiser brands, Fordham, or one of the full bars! And don't forget the 4-hour HAPPY HOUR with $3 Bud Lights!

Just a thought....
Over on our Facebook page, there have been grumblings about the cost of the tickets. Sure, $60 is not a $5 cover to O'Briens. But, keep in mind there are more than 20 bands playing and 3 of them are MAJOR national acts! You probably will pay $40 to see Cake alone. But, also keep in mind, that these acts are not playing the 45-minute greatest hit sets. The three headliners are doing full 90-minute sets. Just something to think about. Personally, I am looking forward to Audra Mae--google her and give a listen! And speaking of our facebook page---make sure you are a fan. If you're feeling lucky, I have a pair of Silopanna tickets that will be given away later this afternoon!
KEGS AND CORKS BEER AND WINE FESTIVAL is following right up on the heels of Silopanna. This is a first year event and we are thrilled to be a presenting sponsor.
