The Great Give Is Happening Now!

Until 7 PM tonight, our community will come together for the Community Foundation of Anne Arundel County's GREAT GIVE, and we need YOU to help. The Great Give is 24 hours of unprecedented online nonprofit giving-and it's your chance make a real difference, right here in our community.

If you have already given to your favorite charity, why not give a little more? If you have never given, take a look at the more than 120 charities participating and find a favorite...or two...or ten. By showing your love through the GREAT GIVE, you help sustain these amazing organizations, which gives so much to our community.

Give a lot. Give a little. Give a lot to one. Give a little to many. Any way you slice it, 100% of the money goes back into our community.

Join me in supporting our community by donating to the organization of your choice through the GREAT GIVE online before 7 PM tonight.

Some Parting Words

Personally, I am a big supporter of the non-profits and all the great work they do for us. There are organizations to support animals, homeless, hungry, unemployed, illiterate, the Bay, drug addicts, volunteerism, at risk youth, women victims of violence, and so many more.

I regularly give to several favorite organizations each year; but I also participated in the GREAT GIVE. I did not have a lot of spare money (2 kids in college and another on the way) to give, but I did personally donate $10 to eleven separate organizations--so far. While $110 may not be a huge number, I know that it makes a difference.

With small organizations seeing their funding cut, I know my $10 does indeed make a difference. Imagine if everyone who receives this newsletter just donated $10? That is nearly $75,000!! What if everyone donated $100...you do the math.

I know times are still very tough, but can you give up a pair of lattes to do some good? I did!
