Another Annapolis Election? Nah, Just The Mobbies! Can You Help?

Published: Mon, 11/11/13

Hi

Thanks for being a loyal email subscriber and reader of Eye On Annapolis. We appreciate being able to bring you your daily dose of news, opinion, entertainment, and commentary every single day!  It's hard to believe that March will begin out 5th year!  And rest assured, we have some new surprises and enhancements in store.

But today, I come asking a favor. It is not one that will cost you a dime, but maybe a minute of your time before you head out for lunch today.  We have been nominated for a Mobbie Award in three categories, and now that the grueling Annapolis election is over, I am asking you for your vote.

The awards are sponsored by the Baltimore Sun and they are recognizing the best new-media entities in the area--blogs, Twitter accounts, Facebook pages, Instagram, etc.  Sadly, there is no million dollar prize or even a statuette, but there is the recognition from the Baltimore Sun for a job a well done and a nice party on the 19th!

Can you help us out? Just click on the image below and vote for us in these three categories.

Best News Blog (Eye On Annapolis)

Best Organization on Twitter (@eyeonannapolis)

Best Facebook Page (All Annapolis)

Voting is easy--all the Sun needs is a name and email address.  They do not spam you and you are NOT signing up for any of their newsletters.

And the cool thing is that you can select all of your votes on a single page and submit them all at once!  And, if that was not enough, you can vote daily between now and November 14th at 5pm!  So, there you have it!

I promise, no signs placed around town with brooms, no waving at you when you drive through busy intersections, no robo-calls, no filling your mailboxes with campaign fliers, and no false campaign promises!  In fact, I promise nothing except my personal thanks!

Can I have your votes?
PS--feel free to share this email and let all your friends know that they can vote as well!
Check out these great sites as well!

Regardless if we win or not, the Baltimore Sun has come up with a great list of local and regional blogs, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, etc.  After you vote, it's well worth exploring some of the others!  You will not be disappointed.

There are many other local nominees that I read religiously. Why not give them a vote and let's see if we can get an Annapolis sweep of The Mobbies (see what I did there?)!
