Midnight Madness & Eleventh Hour
The Annapolis Business Association is also presenting  Midnight Madness and Eleventh Hour.

Annapolitans and visitors won't want to miss the three nights of late night shopping and entertainment in downtown Annapolis: Midnight Madness on Thursday, December 5 and 12, and  Eleventh Hour on December 19. The town will be full of holiday music and entertainment, prizes, complimentary gift wrapping, holiday photo shoots, visits with Santa and special sale prices at select retail stores, who will each remain open until midnight for holiday shopping and festivities. In The City
The Grand Illumination
On Sunday, December 1, Annapolis will come alive with holiday cheer as Santa Claus arrives, carols are sung, and the City tree is illuminated.

Things kick off at 4:30pm with story time by Clara at Zachary's Jewelers and photos with the cast of Chesapeake Ballet Company who will offer two performances of The Nutcracker.

Around 5:45pm, we hear that Santa Claus will be arriving to lead the crowd in lighting the tree.

After the lighting, stroll main street and admire the newly created holiday window displays at Zacahary's and shop at the stores that remain open.

Plenty of cheer and merriment will abound and there will be plenty of singing and hot chocolate to kick off the season!

Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade
Every year on the second Saturday in December, magic happens on the water of the Annapolis Harbor...boats suddenly appear out of the cold winter night illuminated with thousands of colored lights and crewed by jolly revelers.

Families and friends gather at their favorite viewing spots along the waterfront to see this yearly spectacle and to celebrate the holiday season together.

The Eastport Yacht Club Lights Parade is one of Annapolis' signature event and we invite you to join us as a participant or a spectator cheering on all the decorated boats and their crews.

New Years Eve
New Years In Annapolis is always a lot of fun for families.

While the City has not yet announced the schedule, the celebration usually includes plenty to do for the younger children in the late afternoon with a special early fireworks display.  Face painting, dancing, magic, crafts, and plenty of hot cocoa.

The entertainment continues through the night for older kids and adults (sometimes one in the same) under a heated tent on City Dock which culminates in a countdown to 2014 just before the skies light up with fireworks to usher in the New Year!
