The Maryland Seafood Festival is the harbinger of fall and an event looked forward to by tens of thousands of people each year. After 46 years, they really know how to throw a party and it keeps getting better! And tomorrow is the day!

Exciting and new for 2013:

  • Extreme Volleyball Professional Demos and Exhibition Matches - enjoy the athleticism from professional beach volleyball players. visit EVPs website for details
  • Maryland Watermen's Association Demonstrations and Exhibits - to include Chesapeake Crab Skiff Races and other bay watercraft activities. Learn more about Maryland Watermen's Association
  • King BMX Stunt Show - Back by popular demand!! Come See The King BMX Stunt Team provide a high energy Bike Stunt Show on Saturday and Sunday consisting of both flatland and ramp stunts.
  • New Menu Items  - "Foodie Treasures from the Bay" will include crab and oysters as well as other seafood and landlubber delicacies; all sold by professionals, non-profits and new food vendors like Maryland Watermen's Association, Laughing Crab Catering, Joe's Crab Shack, Jimmy's Famous Seafood and Brio Tuscan Grille. Returning favorites include Stan & Joe's Saloon, Red Hot & Blue, Jonathan's Harbor and many more.
  • Imported and Craft Beer Tastings - Saturday 4-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-6 p.m. This year we are partnering with a few oyster fisheries bringing fresh oysters to your tasting experience! visit the Beer Tasting page for more detail
  • Wine Row - New this year to the Maryland Seafood Festival is a WINE ROW which will feature unique local wines from Maryland based vineyards and businesses. Sample wine, have it by the glass, or take a bottle home as a souvenir! visit the Wine Row page for more detail
  • Live Music  - Crawdaddies, Swamp Candy and Uncle Jack's Band new this year; and bringing your favorites back like Kelly Bell Band, The Reagan Years and the Chesapeake Steel Drum Band. visit the Entertainment page for more detail
  • Crab Cake Eating and Crab Picking Contests - Back after a one year hiatus participants compete in crab cake eating or crab picking contest. More details soon. Sign up at the Festival.
  • New and Improved Interactive Kids Zone  - New in 2013 we are bringing the kids the "Annapolis Crab Derby" and crab shell painting with help from Crabs for Kids Foundation.
