If I did not know any better, I would swear that the folks at Rams Head were major shareholders in the Duncan Yoyo Company.

In 2011, I was beyond excited to have a world-class music festival in my backyard--none of that trekking to Columbia. And then my enthusiasm was dashed when Tropical Storm Irene had bigger plans for the weekend.  I was so looking forward to seeing Matt & Kim especially!

In 2012, it happened!! Cake and Citizen Cope rocked the festival at the fairgrounds--and so did Mother Nature with an early evening storm--but they handled it really well and kept everyone safe!  And besides, I always say it is not a festival unless you have wet clothing and muddy shoes!

The anticipation of 2013 was too much and I could not wait to see who they would bring. But alas, it never happened. Last year was a challenging festival season and many of the artists were playing gigs all over the country. And who wants to drive five or more hours to a festival? What a hassle!

But if a ten minute drive with free parking available and a wild lineup with The Flaming Lips, Dashboard Confessional, Matt & Kim (so incredibly psyched), Hellogoodbye, Sleeper Agent and more is your thing...then the 2014 Silopanna Music Festival is for you!

Here we are in April and August can't come soon enough.  I snagged my tickets already and you should too--I got VIP for myself and standard for my kids (too bad for them--they should have mowed the lawn when I asked). 

The prices will go up after Friday and I know VIP will sell out soon!

So, what are you waiting for? Me?  I'm waiting for August 16th!  Bring it on! But seriously--Matt & Kim!!!
