Let Your Voice Be Heard

You are a subscriber so you obviously have (at minimum) a passing interest in Annapolis. One of the critical issues facing out area in the coming decades is flooding.

City Dock floods many times each year in what is termed "nuisance" flooding, and we got a taste of it in September 2003 when TS Isabel roared into town. It will only get worse and we need to do something.

We have gem in Annapolis and we need to make sure it is preserved for centuries. Local, State, and Federal governments have teamed up with organizations and experts to address the issue and now it is time for YOUR INPUT.

Take the survey (no registration needed ... maybe 5 minutes to complete) and take a few hours to attend the FREE TOWN HALL on July 9th to get your questions answered and to learn more.

At the minimum, please check out the links to the documents in the WEATHER IT TOGETHER website for background.

This is such a huge issue for everyone--we need your voice. Please let it be heard!

See you there!

Please join the Weather It Together team and attend the July 9 Town Hall at 7 pm at the Annapolis Waterfront Marriott to provide your input about how Annapolis can protect our historic buildings, homes and businesses from the impacts of tidal flooding, sea level rise and natural disasters.

Representatives from City, State and Federal agencies will be there to provide information on how to protect your property and present information on the hazard mitigation planning effort now underway.

Take a few minutes now to complete their survey to qualify for a prize drawing for items from local merchants.

They will conduct the drawing on July 9 at the Town Hall.  All attendees or survey participants qualify.

RSVP to histpres@annapolis.gov.
