CORRECTION

Whoops...we screwed up. The last newsletter we sent out about the barBAYq mistakenly said that there were 40 bands--nope. They have opted this year to bring in fewer bands which pack a bigger punch--Weird Science and Marshall Law included. We also said there was a KCBS Judging School. They have had that in the past, but were not able to coordinate it this year, so there will not be an opportunity to become a BBQ judge this year! Sorry!

The first time was at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and like Chief Brody said in Jaws, "we're gonna need a bigger boat."

So, the Naptown barBAYq moved out to the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds and has been growing ever since!

This is their fifth year and already they have given back more than $300,000 to local charities thanks to the support of the community!

This is one of those Naptown signature events and one not to miss! And things have changed up a bit this year too--for one, it is on a Friday and Saturday...not Saturday and Sunday. But check out their site to see all the new and exciting changes!

We are incredibly proud to partner with them again and can't wait to get some BBQ in our bellies on May 6th and 7th.

We hope that you will carve some time out of your weekend and experience some fantastic food, music and entertainment with us and the Parole Rotary!

Mark your calendar for May 6th and 7th! At the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds it will be all about the barbecue at the 2016 Naptown barBAYq!

Coming to the Anne Arundel County Fairgrounds once again, your senses will be on overload as the smell of pork, chicken, and beef wafts over the area!

There will be two people's choice tastings--one for wings and the other for pork! And the competition will be brought INSIDE the festival into a special barBAYq Village where you can chat up the more than 50 competitors in this KCBS sanctioned competition!

But it is not just about your nose and your taste--there will be some serious entertainment performing over the two day event including local favorite Weird Science and country rockers Marshall Law!

And the party continues over at Union Jacks. Flash your barBAYq wristband at the door and waltz right in--that's right, NO COVER CHARGE!
