The Bash will benefit the expansion of mental health services at Anne
Arundel Medical Center to meet this crucial and growing need in our region. In 2017, AAMC’s Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments cared for 1,837 patients with a primary diagnosis of a mental health illness, including substance abuse, and the numbers continue to climb. In fact, our county leadership and the county’s recent Community Health Needs Assessment identified mental health as one of the most critical and unmet health issues facing our region. The 2018 Bash is an important opportunity
to provide critical funding for mental health care.
